Bowl 29 – African Sapele Wood – Set of 3 – Small Sizes

Two small beautiful handcrafted wooden pots are made from perhaps among the hardest of all softwood species; Yew is undoubtedly a unique wood species. The pots were created from a branch sourced from Ystradfellte Cemetery in Brecon and is from a tree about 1,000 years old that fell during a storm. The wood was turned on a lathe to create the unique, beautiful pots and then finished with shellac and hand-polished with four coats of black bison clear polish to bring about the beautiful shiny look and smooth feel. The pot has natural patterns, knots and cracks. The pictures are of the actual items for sale… approximately 10cm and 8cm in diameter and 5.5cm and 4cm in height.
