A beautiful hand crafted very large ‘upside down’ wooden bowl made from Ash, which is natural wood that has aged for several years. The base is Sapele wood. When the ageing environment is just right the process generates beautiful patterns throughout the wood.  A flat piece of wood was cut into three circular rings and precisely angled so it could be glued together upside down to form the bowls curve. The wood was then turned on a lathe to blend in the rings smoothly into one another and create the unique beautiful looking bowl, which was finished with shellac and hand polished with four coats of black bison clear polish to bring about the beautiful shiny look and smooth feel. Finally a coat of clear varnish was added to finish the look. This bowl is stunning and would suit a very large table… The diameter is approximately 35.5cm and the height is 15cm…
