WoodCraft-Co (aka WoodCraft) are professional wood turners and specialists in selling unique, beautiful-looking wooden ornaments that have been turned on a lathe and get much pleasure in making wood-loving buyers happy – here we offer:  A beautiful handcrafted segmented wooden bowl made of Cocobolo, Ash and Oak… with ornamental apple & two pears – Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood of Central American trees^. Only the heartwood of cocobolo is used; it is usually orange or reddish-brown, often with darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. The heartwood changes colour after being cut and can be polished to a lustrous, glassy finish; being quite dense, sometimes having a specific gravity of over 1.0, it will sink in water. The wood sections were glued together, then turned on a lathe to create the unique, beautiful patterned bowl and then finished with shellac and hand-polished with four coats of black bison clear polish to bring about the beautiful shiny look and smooth feel.  The pictures are of the actual item for sale…  approximately 15cm diameter – 8.5cm height – 824g in weight (combined with fruit).
