Description
A beautiful handcrafted wooden clock (small or mini-sized desk clock) made from perhaps among the hardest of all softwood species, Yew is undoubtedly a unique wood species. The clock has been created from a branch sourced from Ystradfellte Cemetery in Brecon and is from a tree said to be about 1,000 years old that fell during a storm. The wood was turned on a lathe to create the unique, beautiful feature; a clock face was inserted (Quartz – battery changeable) and then finished with shellac and hand-polished with four coats of black bison clear polish to bring about the beautiful shiny look and smooth feel.
