Confidentiality & Privacy Statement for WoodCraft-Co

WOODCRAFT-CO is committed to assuring customers that their privacy will be respected and protected at all times. WOODCRAFT-CO has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to customer privacy.   This protection of information is a legal requirement under the Data Protection Act.  Respect for the confidentiality of Company information (including employee and customers details) is an important aspect of all Companies to protect their business interests, their Customers’ and employees’ details.  The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for all information collected or submitted to The Company.

WOODCRAFT-CO undertakes to the other to keep confidential all information (written or oral) concerning the business and affairs of the other that it shall have obtained or received as a result of the discussions leading up to or entering into any agreement, job, or contractual services, save that which is:

Insignificant or obvious;

Already in its possession other than as a result of a breach of this clause; or

In the public domain other than as a result of a breach of this clause.

WOODCRAFT-CO Staff involved with the processing of information, whether manually or computerised, must ensure its accuracy and factual truth.  Staff must not pass it on without authorisation.  Electronic or manual data used or transferred for repair or service works, i.e. made at, or separate from customer premises; from one machine to another or during back-up’s or system service work types, or similar, and subsequently will not be required by the Customer, at each job ends, then all data will immediately be deleted or destroyed from WOODCRAFT-CO possession.  Confidential waste could include electronic or paperweight Customer plans, architectural drawings, documents, spreadsheets, etc but normal data required for the continuous quality service to the Customer will normally be kept on the database.   

WOODCRAFT-CO Staff may acquire a considerable amount of information about the Company’s customers, business activities, etc whilst working for The Company.  Any Staff Member of WOODCRAFT-CO may keep and use personal details of the Customer and its employees to provide services to the Customer provided it is kept at work.  This information must not be disclosed to any other party, either during WOODCRAFT-CO employment or afterwards.  Staff must also not disclose information on the personal matters of colleagues and customers or remove from any assigned place of work, any software or files, paperwork, etc without prior permission.  Only authorised members of staff may make statements to the Press, Radio and TV about The Company.   

WOODCRAFT-CO may send the Customer and its employees’ details of other Services offered by WOODCRAFT-CO that may be of interest to the Customer.  If the Customer does not wish to receive details of these Products, Services or Offers then please contact the Marketing Department of WOODCRAFT-CO or send email to the address below.   

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact Forms & Cookies

Who we share your data with and how long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
